Washington DCJCC literary programs:
-The Hyman S. & Freda Bernstein Jewish Literary Festival brings books to life each autumn by featuring the writers and personalities behind the pen. It offers our nation’s capital a unique glimpse at the year’s best in American and international Jewish letters, recognizing both emerging and well-established writers. If you would like to browse past festivals, please visit our archives page.
-Authors Out Loud features rising stars of literature as well as luminaries. Enjoy an evening of entertainment and stimulating conversation with great authors and fellow readers. Meet the author, get your book signed and discuss your favorite books with friends over a glass of wine. Authors Out Loud is made possible in part by a grant from the David Bruce Smith Family Foundation to fund joint programming with The George Washington University's "Jewish Lit Live" class. Other programs are sponsored by the Chaim Kempner Author Series and the Helen & Milton Covensky Fund. To browse past Authors Out Loud programs, please visit our Authors Out Loud/Nextbook archives.
-The Chaim Kempner Author Series brings authors of recently published books.
-The Helen & Milton Covensky Fund presents a number of Holocaust-related cultural programs throughout the year.
