Krav Maga

Classes start with a warm-up, continue with combative techniques and end with self-defense techniques. Beginners use basic combative techniques including punches, elbows, and kicks. Self-defense techniques for beginners include defenses against chokes, head locks and other attacks.
More advanced training incorporates sparring.
Regular training develops greater coordination, balance, strength and stamina, resulting in a higher level of physical fitness. Proper Krav Maga training gives people the confidence that comes from knowing one can protect oneself.
Krav Maga participants must wear loose fitting pants (Gi or sweatpants) and a T-shirt, and may train in socks, bare feet, or wrestling shoes. Tank tops and shorts are not acceptable and sneakers or other thick-soled shoes are not allowed when a mat is in use.
