BE A DECEMBER 25TH TEAM CAPTAIN Calling all volunteers! 80+ Team Captains are needed for the 23rd Annual December 25th Day of Service. The role of a team captain is to coordinate a group of volunteers at one of 50+ social service agencies in the district. Activities vary at each site. You can choose to lead your team of volunteers at a homeless shelter, senior center, soup kitchen, mental health facility or children's hospital. Your generosity will help make someone's holiday a bit brighter!

E-mail Gena for more information.WHAT DOES A TEAM CAPTAIN DO? 1. Attend one training session, even if you have been a team captain before. 2. Remain in communication with (1) Your DCJCC Contact (2) Site Contact (3) Your Volunteer Team. 3. Report any and all changes regarding the project as soon as possible to your DCJCC contact. 4. Work with a co-Team Captain, if a DCJCC staff or planning committee members chooses to assign one.
The Site and Team Captain coordinator will call and confirm that these and other important tasks are being accomplished without any problems, and will help solve any problems as they arise. Full timeline details, as well as information and advice for planning and preparing to lead your team will be presented in the Team Captain training.
